This hotel chain wants its hotels to be the affordable but nice place to stay in North America. La Quinta Holdings has hotels throughout the US (about 45 states), Canada, and Mexico under the La Quinta Inns and La Quinta Inn & Suites brands. The company franchises the majority of its properties. La Quinta Holdings has more than 880 hotels, which encompass some 87,000 guest rooms. Most of the chain's hotels operate in the limited service, midscale segment. It targets a mix of corporate and leisure travelers on a budget. Backed by investment firm The Blackstone Group, the company went public in 2014.
